About FRÖBEL

FRÖBEL is made up of FRÖBEL e.V., FRÖBEL Bildung und Erziehung gGmbH, FRÖBEL Akademie gGmbH and FRÖBEL International GmbH.

Through its not-for-profit subsidiary FRÖBEL Education and Childcare gGmbH, FRÖBEL e.V. operates child guidance centres, as well as crèches, kindergartens and after-school clubs, in ten of Germany's federal states. FRÖBEL is Germany's largest non-profit provider of early childhood education and care, with centres across Germany and in Poland and Australia. FRÖBEL operates around 180 nurseries, kindergartens and after-school clubs, as well as other facilities in ten federal states. More than 3,600 employees work together to achieve the best education, upbringing and care of more than 16,000 children.

The quality, flexibility and innovative organisation of FRÖBEL facilities make FRÖBEL a competent partner for parents and families, local authorities and businesses. FRÖBEL’s international holdings are held by FRÖBEL International GmbH. They include kindergartens in Australia.

For more than 25 years the federation itself has been operating a family advice centre in the Adlershof district of Berlin as part of a family centre with the FRÖBEL kindergarten Campus Adlershof. FRÖBEL e.V. also takes responsibility for interdisciplinary tasks in the fields of child protection, crisis management and the culture of volunteering. In special cases the federation takes on construction projects for day-care facilities and leases the premises to its subsidiary.
