International visitor and training programme at FRÖBEL

In the first three months of this year FRÖBEL was already able to welcome five visitor groups for its Early Childhood Education visitor and training programme.

FRÖBEL offers one- to three-day visits and further training programmes in early childhood education which provide stimulating and varied lectures, discussions with experts and practical visits to kindergartens. The programme is aimed at early childhood professionals and managers interested in international and intercultural issues as well as representatives of day-care centres and educational institutions.

Visitors can choose in advance under which professional focus they would like to become acquainted with institutional education and care in Germany.

In the first three months of this year FRÖBEL was already able to welcome five visitor groups from Russia, China, Ireland and Italy

At the FRÖBEL kindergarten Siemens Technopark 20 school directors from Russia were able to learn about German early education, in particular the concept of open pedagogy and the meaning of being a "network kindergarten".

Representatives of a Chinese company which is involved in the area of child education got to know the various educational areas, the diversity of educational work in kindergartens and also the children of the FRÖBEL kindergarten An St. Peter.

The FRÖBEl kindergartens Freudenberg and Flipflopz welcomed students from the Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland and exchanged ideas on architecture and spatial planning.

For the representatives of a Chinese kindergarten organisation in Beijing the broad area of focus included topics like "collaborative partnerships between kindergarten and family", "design of orientation and settling-in periods for children in kindergartens" as well as architecture and interior design. Expert lectures and practical visits to the FRÖBEL kindergartens Flipflopz and Campus Kids gave our visitors a comprehensive insight. There was also an intensive exchange about the general conditions of early German education as well as similarities and differences in China and Germany.

The educational coordinators from Italy were welcomed by the FRÖBEL kindergartens Charité Mitte and Am Ring. Among the early childhood professionals there was a lively exchange about interior design, pedagogical concepts and the cooperation between day care centre and family.

Within the our visitor and training programme, FRÖBEL attaches particular importance to professional exchange. Participants have the opportunity to exchange their experiences and impressions on the respective topics and to expand and deepen their specialist knowledge.
