We are currently looking for a qualified English-speaking education professional to help implement the FRÖBEL Focus “Bilingual Education” at our education and care service Die kleinen Piraten in Berlin-Spandau.

Zur Erweiterung unseres aufgeschlossenen Teams in unserem FRÖBEL-Kindergarten Die Kleinen Piraten in Berlin-Spandau suchen wir zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt einen

English Speaking Early Childhood Teacher/Educator (m/f/d)

mit einer Arbeitszeit von 40 Wochenstunden. Der Vertrag wird unbefristet geschlossen.

Über unsere Einrichtung
Wir vom FRÖBEL-Kindergarten Die kleinen Piraten betreuen in gemeinsamer Teamarbeit 95 fröhliche Kinder im Alter von 8 Wochen bis zum Schuleintritt. Die Pädagogik in unserer Einrichtung ist geprägt durch Offenheit, Partizipation und Individualisierung. Wichtige Themenschwerpunkte liegen hierbei auf der bilingualen Arbeit, aktiven Bewegungs- und Gesundheitsförderung, der Sprachförderung, Inklusion, der engen Zusammenarbeit mit Familien sowie der naturgestützten Pädagogik mit unserem idyllischen Garten. 
Unsere großzügig ausgebaute Etage mit verschiedenen Funktionsräumen sowie einem großen Bewegungsraum bietet den Kindern viel Platz zum Spielen, Toben und sich weiterentwickeln. Wir unternehmen mit den kleinen Piraten auch gerne Ausflüge in die Umgebung wie ins Kindertheater oder zu umliegenden Spielplätzen. Wir verfügen über eine hauseigene Küche, in der unser Koch die Speisen für eine ausgewogene Ernährung frisch zubereitet – gerne auch mit den Kindern. Unser Kindergarten nimmt außerdem am Bundesprogramm "Sprach-Kitas: Weil Sprache der Schlüssel zur Welt ist“ teil. Daher nutzen wir häufig mit den Kindern auch die nahegelegene Bibliothek.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Supporting all aspects of early childhood education and care in English,
  • Planning, implementing and documenting pedagogical processes and daily routines (as part of a team),
  • Completing structured observation and documentation of the children’s development and educational processes,
  • Developing successful cooperation with parents.

Do you fulfil the following requirements?

  • Are you a native speaker of English, or do you speak English at native level C2?
  • Are you in the process of learning German and have achieved level B2?
  • Are you a state-certified educator (staatlich anerkannnte*r Erzieher*in) or do you have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education?
  • Are you passionate about working with children between 1 and 6 years of age?
  • Are you interested in working as part of a team to implement an in-house bilingual education concept?

  • A salary according to the FRÖBEL in-house wage agreement, the only collective wage agreement that takes further training and education into account for advancement, guarantees fixed preparation and follow-up times and offers a reduction in working hours for older employees,
  • Up to 220 Euro inflation compensation bonus every month from July 2023 to February 2024, as well as from March 2024 a salary increase by a base amount of up to 200 Euro and an additional increase of 5.5%,
  • 33 days of holiday per year, December 24 and 31 paid days off,
  • Up to 99 Euro monthly in addition to your salary: you can choose between a combination of the “Deutschland Ticket” (for local public transport, 49 Euro) and the FRÖBEL-BenefitCard (50 Euro), or a monthly mobility allowance of up to 99 Euro for a JobRad (BenefitCard and JobRad are available after the probationary period),
  • 733 Euro allowance for completing the “Online-FRÖBEL-Curriculum” in the first six months,
  • A company pension scheme of 4% paid by the employer, as well as an annual bonus payment,
  • A company tablet (also for private use) – at this stage not available at all locations – please enquire during recruitment process, as well as
  • Up to 600 Euro bonus payment for the successful recommendation of a recognised early childhood educator (“Fachkraft”) and access to the discount portals “Corporate Benefits” and “Ticketsprinter”.
